my soldier ...

the gift of a soldier guards my day
offers me hope I will be okay
guided protected I am free to go
this the freedom my soldier shows
for every step this soldier takes
freedom is found for me to make
a life to live my heart's desire
my soldier stands between me and fire

I offer my love to the soldier I see
for giving my life the ability to be
whatever I choose whatever the day
I can live my life free to pray
may it never be taken for granted by me

the care

angels seek for us to see
all around us they wait to be
our guides
our hope
to carry our burdens
to help us cope
with all the struggles our travels bear
we are not alone our God cares

it is up to us to seek or hide
to ask for help from those who guide
hesitate not another day
ask our God to show the way
His love is great
His mercy true
He loves each one
He waits for you

angels wings have blessed my soul
these words I write define the role
reflecting places I have been
offering hope to begin again
to share God's love in this way
is to offer strength in your day
to feel His spirit deep within
like angels wings against your skin

I pray for peace
for you for me
that one day all
together will see
God is love
pure and real
