as tomorrow comes........... the day...

everyone has one

the day

the number

the moment

of return

perhaps the night perhaps the hour

of memory

known deep in their soul

asking to understand

knowing one day they will

still

once more

the moment returns

burns

with sorrow

with joy

with chaos of why

wanting the knowing now

now it is not to be –

the number in time

is just that

a number in time

the memory of then

when

life changed

two became one

for me

it is the day of then

once again now

a memory to me so real

I feel like yesterday today

one cannot know this feeling

until the road is traveled –

perhaps in word I can share

hope

for another who travels this road

to know that today

is a beautiful day to remember

as tears pour from my soul

so too are they filled with joy

this day

peace was found for one

where pain was great

so to this day I say

knowing
